I discovered my love for letterpress while learning to print in college. The process, although tedious, opened up a whole new world to me. As a graphic designer, everything I design needs to be done in a precise manner but letterpress printing adds a unique and organic quality to the end product. I was hooked.
My
other obsession is paper. Color, texture, finish... that stuff keeps me awake
at night (well, paper and Three's Company reruns). In letterpress, when
the type hits the ink and kisses the paper, that's when the magic happens. The
process still amazes me every time I print.
